Breakfast with us is like buttering your bread on both sides.
If you indulge early and with no haste chances are that the rest of the day will follow suite. Crackling fires, warm pastries and home baked seadloaf from tannie Jane's peusel spens. The choices are endless with the best known breakfast buffet in town. Our a la carte menu is not to missed featuring delights such as flapjacks with quality bacon, berries, banana and maple syrup. Breakfast is served from 07:00 - 11:00.
Traditional Sunday Roast
Most of the time we eat to get through the day; it’s about energy. Sundays we eat to be content. To reward ourselves for a weeks work well done. Perhaps to celebrate with a final leisurely meal before life takes us on Monday again.
Sticking to that homely relaxed feel we serve a “lekker bord kos” featuring a choice of roast meats, seasonal vegetables and rost potatoes.
Served between 12:00 and 15:00. Please ensure to make a booking as space is filled very quickly.
Lunch and Dinner
During 2013 our kitchen and dining area received a makeover! Our refreshed dining room now boasts views, not only of the lagoon, but of our kitchen too. Our dinner menu was refined and now has farm-style favourites with a few modern twists. We try to source our produce from local suppliers and we use what the region has to offer. We have local Saldanha Bay mussels and crayfish from Paternoster (when in season). Our famous oxtail soup and lamb shank still feature on the menu along with some new treats such as pasta Arrabbiata and more.

Home baked rusks, sweet and savoury biscuits, preserves from koekie se ma in Aurora and beyond, Local organic salt from “Velledrif”, African artisan roasted coffee, fresh fruit salads for breakfast. Browse, look, smell, taste, enjoy.
Tea Time @ Tannie Jane's
If you find yourself at The Farmhouse Hotel at tea-time, we recommend you treat yourself to tea and a treat, you’re sure to satiate your mid-afternoon hunger pangs with our giant freshly baked scones with whipped cream and home-made jam or a slice of Tannie Jane’s mouth watering cakes. Sip your tea on the terrace and watch the boats drift out on the Lagoon when the sun hangs lower in the sky and illuminates the water.
Its about legends and locals still alive.
Its all there on the walls and sometimes in real life as you have a malt or wee drum around the fire place.
Built in the original underground water tanks of the old farm, we proudly host the finest wines the West Coast has to offer. Guest are welcome to take a stroll down to the cellar to browse through our collection or to pick out their bottle of wine.
